Dampness conditions for hot weather

Hi, hope everyone's worms are doing ok in this hot weather! Would welcome any advice on getting the balance right re. dampness of bedding in these heatwave conditions. To keep my bin cool I've kept adding wet newspaper (also draped cold wet towels over lid). The air temp inside in the shed where they're kept is in the 80s but the bedding itself about 70 degrees so seems comfortable for them. Only thing is I've noticed a lot of mites now and I'm aware mites can be a sign of bedding being too damp. Found one large worm covered in them (it was alive but sluggish... ) so hope the mites and dampness aren't causing other problems?
Other than that, all is well - lots of baby worms, all smells nice and food getting eaten quickly - just want to make sure I keep things on track in this extreme weather! Thanks.
