Hi..any reason why nearly all my worms are congregating in the centre of the tray? Their food has historically been spread around the edges & corners of the tray...could it be something rotting/poisonous that is preventing them spreading out? Should I remove the food & start again? The wormeey was set up earlier this year..thanks in advance
Re: Worm Grouping
Hi, could this be down to the warm weather? Most worm bins a dark in colour which absorbs heat. Worms prefer a temp of around 20 to 25 degrees c and will move away from warmer areas. A simple thermometer will show if this is the reason. If it is then provide more shade on bright hot days. The heat is catching many of us out this year.

Thank you very much for your reply..are there specific thermometers available for wormerys or just get a normal outdoor one to attach above the wormery?
Re: Worm Grouping
You need one with a probe that goes into the soil
