Coir block does expand a lot, and warm water does make it soften quicker !!

the worms will settle, it does take time, just imagine you move into a new home, its never quite to your liking until you've got your ornaments - pictures and furniture in place, its the same for worms.
They like moulds, fungis, bacteria etc to make them feel at home, like there would be if they were in the wild

worms love paper and cardboard so you can never have too much.

corrugated cardboard is brilliant cut up into pieces as it holds the air inside and ventilates the wormery.

RE the food, you can continue to feed them the worm food if you want to

depends on if your wormery is too dry or too wet - adding dry/wet cardboard makes your wormery drier or wetter :? :?:?
