Hi
We had our executive wormery out on the patio all winter long with no protection at all.

It was a sunny spot but was usually covered in ice most days (it was a cold winter) We didnt have any bubble wrap or fleece around it, but did have some layers of cardboard inside on the top layer
when we checked on the worms they were in the center on the wormery, around some bread and pasta that we had put in there.

None of the contents had frozen, and the bread and pasta was giving off small amounts of heat as it was decomposing.

The worms were totally fine, a bit chilled (but wearn't we all !)

It is a great idea to try and keep them warm as possible as this keeps the breeding and feeding rate up and a greenhouse / shed or garage is perfect
We always forget, that in the wild - worms don't have bubble wrap and fleece to keep warm, yet they survive.
