Hi
The wormery should be damp - not wet.
Its very unusual for worms not to breed, they usually double their population approx every 3 months.
Is the food going down at all, does the wormery smell ...

just wondered if the worms have vacated the wormery

this is very true....

quite often they will wander away from your wormery, and will take up home under a brick or plant pot, in fact anywhere close by thats dark and has moisture.
and will live there very happily for ages !!
