hi welly
it might be best if you throw the sludge away, and start again.
depending on if it smells at all.
if it doesnt smell try mixing a good quantity of shredded paper / sawdust / cardboard to get in some air, and dry up the moisture.
you hopefully have some worm eggs or might need to buy some more worms.
the heat certainly didn't help !!!
