Hi
Your not doing anything wrong, sometimes worms settle quickly in a couple of days - sometimes it carries on for 2 weeks.
Some parts of the country are experiencing heavy thunderstorms as well. Worms are very alert to atmospheric pressure changes, this can make them come to the surface.
They will eventually stop and settle down
