the trays need to slide into one another - as it was delivered.

There will still be a small gap as the sides are slanted - meaning that the yop dimension is bigger than the bottom

Yes - there is a gap, at the most 3/4 inch, but it has to be there else the trays can't slide into each other.

don't worry - the worms will not escape
