Thank you for your message - I love to hear success stories !

Some worms just live in the sump - but you have done the right thing, open the tap, give them some cardboard or paper - and let them have a party down there !

sounds strange that they have all gone - they aren't hiding down in the sump - or the lower trays, and you have had a really good dig around ?

The good news is that no - its not the end of your worms, although your numbers may be depleated you have probably still got loads of worm eggs in the compost on all levels.

It doesn't take long for these eggs to hatch and a new set of babies to appear and a couple of months after that they will be breading again.
