yes - worms can eat nuts and berries - worms can eat a bit of everything - just don't overdo !

You will see when they are sexually mature because they have a pale white ring around their bodies (clitellum)

For growth - try adding more cereal - weetabix is a favourite (but hold the milk !!)

We originally came across an American product called Purina Worm Chow - which works as a worm fattener.
As it was unavailable in this country we tried weetabix (without the milk) this seemed to make the worms fatter and breed quicker.

I think virtually all wormfarmers now feed a cereal based food to their worms which contains minerals and trace elements,
A vitamin pill for worms !
