Hi
no - you dont need any more coir block, just take some of the compost from the original tray and place it in the new one
when the 1st tray is 3/4 then you can add the next - this should be after 2 months (ish) - as long as the worms are eating the food

setting up the next tray
Re: setting up the next tray
Hi
firstly dont worry about the white worms - they are pot worms and live happily in your wormery - and aid the composting process.
Fruit flies also dont harm the worms, the eggs probably got into the wormery when you put the food into it.
As your wormery is still newish - you wont be able to use all your kitchen waste. It takes time to build up the worm population to make it efficient.
Dont worry about the worms in the lower sections getting squashed - this doesnt happen.
Its very difficult to know how much to feed them, but the rule of thumb is to add your thin layer of food put the newspaper on top, and leave - when you pull the newspaper back, you should see the worms in the food, when it starts to thin out, add some more food
Hope that helps a bit
