Hi

I’ve got a wormery and I’ve noticed flies like bees coming out of it. At the beginning I thought they would be bees because they are very similar but when I show them coming out of the wormery I found out that it could be a type of fly. ( Image: https://ibb.co/dj19dPP )

Does anyone has any idea what type of fly they are? Are they dangerous? Can they sting?

And most important how can I get rid of them in my wormery

Thanks

They are hoverflies, probably myathropa florea or eristalis sp. Completely harmless, there larvae will have pupated in the wormery, happy addition to the ecosystem, will cause no issues and just fly off
