My worms seem to be quite fussy eaters

I am finding my worms to be quite fussy eaters. Two things I have found they love is all bran softened in water and frozen green beans broken up in a Nutribullet. I thaw frozen green beans first and then add some water and blitz them. There seems to be very little vegetable matter from my food waste bin which I can divert to my wormery. Even cut up discarded lettuce leaves seem to be untouched. Any suggestions ?

Hi you could try small amounts on apple core, banana peel, trimming from mushrooms and tomatoes, tee leaves etc. It may take a few days before you start to see the food disappearing but when they start it will go quickly. Once you feed don’t add any more food until the earlier food is gone. A new set up can take a while to get up to speed.

Good luck
Willy
