No drilled holes in either lid?

Post by Panj » Sun May 22, 2022 12:12 pm

I have just received my wormery & on putting it together this morning I find that there are no holes in the lids for the liquid to fall in to the sup? I have sent WC a message. Could I drill a hole thru where the plastic plug is? Thanks

There should not be a hole in the lid. The liquid (leachate) is formed, inside the bin, from the kitchen scraps you put in the bin. The liquid then percolates down to the sump.
If I have misunderstood your question please let me know and I will try again.

There are two parts to the bin which look very similar. One is the lid the other the roof. The difference is the hole in the sump through which the tape is fitted. With the tap fitted the sump should be water tight.
