Re: Blue and white eggs
I haven't ever seen anything like that before, tiny seed potatoes sprung to mind - but not blue ones. I don't know if it's animal or vegetable based I've googled and nothing comes up Try posting on one of these links http://www.nhm.ac.uk/natureplus/community/identification?view=overview or gardeners...

Re: Double worm death
I agree with Willy about the heat This whole year has been just weird and I've found that the worms have gone from comatose to ravenous practically overnight. The fact that you have had a successful wormery for 2 years and nothing has really changed tells me that it is an outside influence rather th...

Re: First time and probably last time

Leave them alone - they will be fine If there are no worms escaping at night (into the binbag) then you are safe to remove it They do...

Re: Whispers from a winter wormery
:D :D Thanks for your post, it certainly made me smile. Interesting information about the temperatures and how sluggish the worms become in the colder months - maybe you can post back with an update when (if) the temperatures rise into the late teens and 20s is it carrot cocktails, quadruplets, and ...

Re: Coffee grounds
We did this last year, used it as compost and dug it into the flower beds.
Most coffee shops will hand it out free of charge.
There was an article in Waitrose magazine last year about it
