Hi The little white worms are pot worms. If you get hundreds more it is possible that your wormery may be too acidic. The bokashi bran may be aiding this as it works by fermenting but to be honest I'm not sure how it works in a wormery as the experience I've had is when the bokashi has actually been...

Yes rainwater is preferable as it doesn't contain the 'metals' that tap water has, however, I don't think anyone has had a problem (due to how much rain we usually get in the UK)

Hi Don't worry too much about the worms in the sump, they do-do this once you have more trays in place it will normally stop. Just ensure that the tap is open so no water floods the sump. If you have a barrier between the bottom of the 1st tray and the sump then the coir shouldn't fall. Put some dam...

Yes, you can use ash in a wormery
The great thing about it is that it is alkaline so it can stop your wormery from being acidic as it has a high calcium content

Always put the food under the newspaper
Firstly it keeps the flies away from it and secondly it encourages the worms to feed there as they like to eat and live under something

This is a problem that I have come across a few times that is called the 'string of pearls' effect aka sour crop I have added a couple of links below which give pictures, descriptions and what to do about it.
