Re: knowing whether worm castings trays are ok
Hi Willy I just popped out to tend to my worms and a couple more questions popped up! - what does it mean if there is a big clump of worms together?? Are they cold? - I am often using egg cartons and cooked and ground eggshells in quantity in the wormery. Assume this is good? And lastly, is a cover ...

Re: knowing whether worm castings trays are ok
thank you so much Willy! you are so generous with your advice!
For the avoidance of any doubt, what constitutes:
- dry carbon material?
- bedding?
I will try and get the wormery under some sort of cover outside. That might help! it def cant come inside.
Many thanks indeed.

knowing whether worm castings trays are ok
Hi Willy Happy new year! I hope you are well. I was wondering if you could help me - the lower worm castings trays in my wormery are a bit wet/gunky and not fully decomposed but are quite well gone. How do I know if/when these are ok to transfer to my garden soil? Is it still worth adding eg ground ...

worms all gone!
Hi Willy You have been so helpful in giving me advice over the last 2 years since I first got my worms. They have survived two years! But I went this morning to check on my wormery for the first time in 7-8 days I think and they have all disappeared/died. Such a shame!! I feel bad! The eco system al...

Re: Clearing out a wormery
Again thank you so much Willy Would it be worth also spreading the ground up eggshells on the lower trays of the wormery and the sump (where these maggoty things and worms are)? I think it's the lower trays that need it as the top tray seems a bit more 'normal' and Im already putting the ground eggs...

Re: Clearing out a wormery
Thank you Willy. Could you just mix those pure castings in with the less pure castings from the tray above to 'dilute' them? Keen to simplify the process as much as possible! Also I had a look in the sump today and there are lots of tiny tiny white wriggly things. Should I be worried about this? And...
