Following on from this. I scooped up worms and compost from the sump and returned them to the higher tray. Am adding shredded cardboard. As my worms have digested all the newspaper lining the tray, they have moved into the sump. I have left the tap open so they don't drown and put in some crumpled up newspaper. Thanks. I put the tray with worms in a bin bag the first night and quite a few found their way out into the bag (and also found some holes in the bag). Last night I put the whole wormery in a large mountaineering survival bag but left the top open. My husband seemed to think that if I taped it shut ...

Having just received my wormery...very exciting...and following the set up instructions am a tad confused. The video shows sheets of damp newspaper covering the worms, where as the leaflet says 2 inches of shredded paper? So which is it. Or is it both? I put the worm tray in a bin bag last night but...
