Re: Small snails in the worm farm
Oh dear, can you get a refund / replacement from the firm you got the worms from. It sounds like there were possibly snail eggs in the worm bedding/ mix the worms were supplied in, maybe? Just a thought. Just been doing i bit of "looking" they may be Awl-snails. On another web site someone in Brisba...

Re: 3 tray wormery
Hi Andy I found that it took about 2 weeks for my worms to settle in and the 1/2 kilo of worms supplied was about right for the wormery. I fed my worms 7 days after I got them with the worm food as advised in the leaflet. Then a week later started feeding small amounts of mashed up food. Now they ar...

Re: fllour
Thanks ..... hate to see waste so now I can use the flour found in the back of the cupboard. As with all the feediing small amounts at a time. I do use bull-dog clips on the lid anyway ..... at the "other bin" came with them so just did the same with yours. Think its the lull before the storm here (...

Hi,
Do you know if you can use flour as food for your worms? I have some rather old bags of bread flour and wondered if I could use it as it is - or is it best to do some worm food baking with it :-\
Forecast very strong winds here over the weekend so wormery is now in the shed.
Happy days

Re: Worm overload?
Hi Richard I am sure Ronnie will give you good advice shortly but in the mean time maybe I can help? Although I am relatively new to the joys of "having worms" the one thing that I have found is when I get escapees or worms on the lid, if I give them a feed that seems to do the trick of keeping the...

Re: Spanish Wormery
Hi I am sure my worms would love a holiday in Spain - now getting cold here in Devon at nights so I am using old duvets to wrap them up last thing at night. : :) They seem happy and eating the minced up feed quite happily and getting really rather large. I have quite a lot of small worms in my 1st ...

Re: pointless
I am feeding my worms every couple of days of so with minced up veggies. But I did wait for a couple of weeks after I set up the Wormcity Wormery before I started feeding. I put a small handful in one of the corners (as advised by Wormcity) cover with shredded damp newspaper, then in a couple of da...

Re: pointless
I love checking on the worms - may check a bit too often "daily" just to check they are happy. 8)
