I’m not convinced the woodlice are too happy in there. There are a fair few dead woodlice as well as some that seem fine. Not sure whether they are different species, but the same woodlice seemed happy in the compost bin they were harvested from. I will see how they progress.

By way of an update, i added more woodlice to each wormery. The worms appeared happy and a number of the original woodlice i added were not so visible, but found a few in lower trays pottering around. I will keep an eye to see how visible they will be next time i check.

I have introduced woodlice to one wormery, i will see how they get on!

I’ll make an effort to find a few in the composter and translocate, they will give the slugs some company…

That’s interesting Willy, regarding woodlice. The card board bedding in my trays is quite slow to break down, maybe because i put whole sheets in an gradually tear it up as it softens with moisture. How come you have so much liquid in the sump? Is everything above(food and bedding) very wet? Or is rain getting in.
