Hallo everyone and greetings from the Cheshire Master Composters or Waste Reduction Volunteers as we are now known.
Just received my Wormcity Wormery and having seen and tried out a few different versions of wormeries recently in my opinion this is the best yet.
We do composting talks to various groups and shows and going into schools etc to help set up compost bins the children are always most fascinated by the wormeries and the fact that worms have 3 more hearts than Doctor Who!

I have had wormeries for some years, and have previously owned a couple of different types. I have also made my own with some degree of success. However, after buying this product, I am happy that I have now got the ultimate wormery! :)
It is clearly apparent to me, that the manufacturer of this product understands worms & composting without comparison.
The product is superbly designed, and makes efficient use of space, whilst combining its practicality within a stylish design that is reminiscent of a beehive in appearance.
The V-shaped sump insert is an intelligent innovation that directs even the smallest amount of liquid to the tap. The secure way that each section fits together means that it all functions with great practicality, yet at the same time deters the invitation to unwanted insects from joining the mixture. The grid holes between each tray to the next are at an optimum size, which is clearly not by accident.
The recycled plastic construction is UV resistant, which means it should last for a long time. It is of robust quality, and I am delighted with my purchase.
I would suggest that it is false economy to buy a slightly cheaper imported wormery. The superior design & manufacturing quality of this product mean that by buying a quality British product, you are saving money in the long run! The delivery speed & packaging of this product are exemplary, combined with the comprehensive instructional booklet for new worm-keepers!

Ordered on Wednesday and arrived Thursday, how is that for prompt service! got home +from work and took it out of the box before I even made a cup of tea. 30 minutes later it was all set up as the coir block went in first. All in bed now hopefully there won't be too many escapees!!..

Having purchased a wormery previously from one of your competitors it was an absolute disaster from the start. Indeed, I remain unconvinced that there were ever any worms in there. Rather than start again with new worms I decided to purchase a wormcity wormery from yourselves. just to say thank you for the safe delivery of my new 50 Litre Wormcity wormery. The little wrigglers are now housed in their new wormery and they appear to be reasonably happy for a first night. I bought some mesh curtaining and some elastic this afternoon and placed it over the tray, under the lid, secured with the elastic that, hopefully I won't have any 'houdinis. Hello, Thank you very much, we received our worms in perfect state ! Great ! never thought we could be so enthusiastic for worms ! Just one of my children hates them ! :-D We put some soil from our small city garden with the coir and they slept in their plastic bench quietly ... we also putted a little lamp (40w) for being sure they stay in place . And we added a brick and a wooden peace so that the bench stays horizontal because it was a little tilting down at one side ... We w'll feed our worms with the bokashi, but is the worm compost better than the bokashi compost ? we don't clearly understand ... Hi Ronnie Just thought I would get in touch to let you know how we're getting on... Our worms settled in well soon after they arrived in December. We kept a close eye on them and had no escapees :) Since then they have been happily munching through all manner of things. They particularly like veggie waste. After 8 months we are starting to see some lovely black compost and they are certainly doing their job well. The worms have become part of the family and the whole family looks forward to checking to see how they're getting on! Great service. Arrived quickly and really easy to set up. A couple of weeks to get established and we're draining 4 pints of "worm tea" each week. If considering this vs. a single bin type worm composter, we've tried both... forget the bin type, spend that little bit more on this design and you'll actually get a worm composting system that works...

26th February - received our executive worms and wormery this morning had so much fun setting it up. It made a very entertaining morning for my husband and I. One thing we have discovered after putting the whole thing in a black bin-bag and finding about 20 escapes that putting them in a large clear plastic bag is better since we can see escapees, but to date none have escaped so perhaps the extra light deters them as well. Thanks a lot I'm sure they will give usn hours of entertainment!!..

Many many thanks for taking the time to talk us through some of the intricacies of setting up a wormery. The package arrived promptly, looks/feels/weighs excellent quality and after your advice the worms have been safely set up and seem happy enough on day 5! My 3 year old can't wait to start feeding them in a few days time. First couple of nights there were a few worms trying to escape but having the bin liner around the wormery contained them all. If anyone is buying a wormery my advice would be to either buy a big bin liner suitable for wheely bins or double up with two smaller bin liners; hopefully the worms wont have the time or inclination to go up and down two bin liners to escape! Good luck...
