DIY Wormery -

Making Your Own Wormery

Its fairly simple to make your own wormery, and there are many places on the internet that will show you exactly how its done

(note to self ... add some links !!)

Wormeries can be made from

Old Dustbins

Old Car Tyres

Old Stacking Boxes

You will however need a few bits to get you going

1) A drill

2) If you want to have a tap (for the liquid) you will need to buy a hole saw

3) Composting Worms (Not the same as garden worms)

4) A Decent Fitting Lid

6) If liquid isn't wanted, a drainage medium (sand, gravel etc)

500g Mixed Composting Worms (approx 400-500 tigers/ Dendras)

Coir Block Bedding

Tap (Optional)

250g Worm Food
